Numerous other sports writers have covered this rivalry over the years, but never the two Hall of Famers themselves. Even if you only possess a cursory knowledge of professional basketball and the NBA, there’s a good chance that you know the names “Larry Bird” and “Magic Johnson.” In fact, if you were a fan of the NBA during the 1980s, then you certainly know that both of these players shared one of the most heated rivalries the league had ever seen. ![]()

5/24/2023 0 Comments Glenn brown artwork![]() All of these things are present in Foss's original, and do not emerge from Brown's appropriation of it. The only thing of the two latter artists in Brown's piece is the scale, and then you could just as easily say that because the painting is large, it's influenced by Bierstadt, or Tintoretto, or any artist that painted large.Īnd he goes on to describe how the painting poses questions about where we come from and why we are here, and talks about the detail and the science fiction subject matter. The narrator mentions that it's based on Chris Foss's painting, but presents it as if the piece is equal parts Foss, Turner, and Friedrich. There are some where he changed a few details, but especially the one you and I linked to above is just a copy with slightly more saturated colours.Īnd it isn't like the art-speak about it is about the relation between original and pastiche, or something like that. But the sci-fi pictures are just too close to the originals to be transformative at all. ![]() I agree about the technique in the pictures in OP's gallery. ![]() 5/24/2023 0 Comments Carter reed 2![]() 462 through 5 games.Ĭarter Reed (2027, KS) went 1-2 with 1 double and 2 runs scored. ![]() ![]() Lincoln Jensen (2026, KS) went 1-2 in the game. With the war going poorly in France, British troops were forced to evacuate the continent at Dunkirk. Churchill appointed various people to work on technological advancements and to increase aircraft production. Churchill was also convinced that the Allies would need the help of the United States to win the war and set about trying to convince President Roosevelt to join the conflict in support of the British. Sure that German invasion was imminent, and disheartened at the possibility of French capitulation to the Germans Churchill bolstered the Royal Air Force (RAF) to prepare to fight the German Luftwaffe.
